Multigrain's bright, green eyes and unique patterned coat make her so striking to look at, especially when she's doing her favorite thing: baking in the sunlight streaming through the window. When she's not resting, she follows you around the house--not too close, just enough to show she's curious about you, letting out small meows here and there to let you know she wants a bit of attention. She can keep herself plenty occupied though, especially with a wand toy. Don't let her smaller size fool you though, as she can get plenty of speed and airtime when she's playing! If you want the key to her heart when you meet her, we'll tell you a secret: scratch right behind her left ear. She'll melt into you, and so will your heart.

We have worked hard to make our adoption process as easy as possible. We like to think of the process in four steps: application, phone conversation, meet and greet and adoption day. We will get back to applicants within a few days even if they were not chosen.

All of our animals are in foster homes. To meet an animal please fill out our adoption application and we will get back to you to schedule a meet and greet if it seems it could be a good fit.

Paws and Claws Rescue is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit in the Chicagoland area dedicated to preventing, and alleviating the suffering caused by abuse, neglect, and overpopulation. We help dogs and cats mentally and physically heal, and give them a chance to find love, a full life, and a forever home.
Our focus is on rescuing orphaned neonatal kittens, nursing kittens with their feral mothers, under-socialized cats, and dogs who have been at Chicago Animal Care and Control for too long. We see ourselves as the crossing guards for these vulnerable animals, helping them get from their past, whether that be from a traumatic home, a kennel, or a euthanasia list, to a safe and kind human who will love them.
