Tofu is looking for a loving home! This senior princess is around 12 years old and weighs 13 pounds.
Since the first day we met her, Tofu has been sweet and friendly. She has met dozens of dogs during her stay and has gotten along well with everyone. Tofu is a gentle, affectionate girl who loves to give love as much as she loves to receive it. During mealtimes, she will bark for her food. She will also occasionally bark when a new person stops by, but isn't overly vocal otherwise.
Tofu joined Vintage Pet Rescue last September. First, we focused on regulating her liver values, which were high, but are now in a normal range. Then, she was on several weeks of rest for a partially torn ACL, which is better now. Most recently, Tofu underwent surgery to remove a mass on her front left leg. The biopsy results said it was a peripheral nerve sheath tumor with very little chance of recurrence. We're happy to report that the tumor was completely excised.

Approve Application
Once we review all the applications for each dog, we will reach out and let you know you've been approved and we'd like to schedule a call.

Interview
You will have a phone interview with our adoption coordinator.

Meet the Pet
If everything sounds like a good fit on the phone, we have you come meet the dog in person.
5.
Sign Adoption Contract
if you fall in love at the meet and greet, we have you sign an adoption contract digitally.
6.
Take the Pet Home
Then you can usually take the dog home right then!

The vast majority of the dogs we take in and post on our social media will be available for adoption at some point, but not everyone is ready to be adopted right away. We first need to get all of our dogs seen by our vet, treat any health issues, and/or schedule any procedures they may need. Once the dog does not need anything else from us medically, we will post them for adoption!
