My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Tinea! 🖤🐾
Tinea is a beautiful black momma cat who has done an amazing job caring for her babies and is now ready for a forever home of her very own. This sweet girl is looking for a quiet, calm home with no children, where she can finally decompress and enjoy life at her own pace.

The shelter environment has been overwhelming for Tinea, and she needs time, patience, and a peaceful space to begin to relax and feel safe. She’s not asking for much—just consistency, gentle care, and someone willing to let her build trust slowly. Once she bonds, Tinea is simply waiting to show her loving, devoted side.

Tinea would thrive with a patient adopter who understands that trust takes time and that the most meaningful bonds are worth waiting for. In the right home, she has so much love to give—she just needs the chance to feel secure and cherished. 🖤

More about this shelter

The Gulf Coast Humane Society is a private, non-profit 501(c)(3) animal welfare organization dedicated to serving the animals and community of Southwest Florida. We receive no federal, state, or county funding, nor do we receive financial support from the Humane Society of the United States. Instead, our lifesaving work is made possible through the generosity of individual donations, grants, bequests, and community fundraising efforts.

As a no kill shelter, Gulf Coast Humane Society is committed to providing compassionate care for unwanted, neglected, and abandoned animals. We never euthanize due to space constraints or the length of time an animal has been in our care. Our mission is to give every animal the second chance they deserve in a safe and loving environment.
