My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Clover: A Chocolate Milk Beauty Looking for Her Forever Pal

Clover is a stunning 47 pound chocolate milk brown and white terrier mix who's super friendly, loving, and ready to be your loyal companion! This sweet girl has personality for days and a zest for life that will keep you smiling.

Energy and Play
Clover loves playing ball with lacrosse balls and will zoom around the yard with pure joy! She thrives with space to run freely and burn off her playful energy. When people come over, she's excited at first and wants to greet everyone, but she settles down beautifully and just does her own thing, showing her adaptable, easy going nature.

Home Life
Clover roams free in the house during the day and is crate trained for nighttime, making her flexible and well mannered. She's treat and food motivated, which makes training sessions fun and effective.

Social Life
Clover is super friendly with people and loves having visitors! While there are cats in her foster home, they aren't around each other, so her compatibility with cats is unknown. She will run the fence line with the neighbor dog, and walks well on a leash and is encouraged to silently walk past other dogs.

Clover's Preferences
This loving girl has her own unique preferences! She only likes her head and neck rubbed and has never been a fan of tummy or rump rubs. She'll let you know what she likes, and once you learn her language, you'll have a wonderful bond.

Best Home Fit
Clover is looking for consistency and someone who wants a great pal! She would thrive in a home with a yard where she can zoom around, someone committed to working with her on leash manners around other dogs, and a family ready to give her the structure and love she deserves.

If you're looking for a friendly, loving companion who will play hard, settle beautifully, and be your devoted pal, Clover is waiting to meet you! Apply today!

MEET AND GREETS

We primarily rely on meet & greets for potential adopters. Approved adopters may meet adoptable animals at the home of the animal's foster, or possibly in the adopter's own home.

More about this rescue

Operation Paws for Homes, Inc. rescues dogs of all breeds and ages from high-kill shelters reducing the numbers being euthanized daily. We provide foster homes where they can get the love and attention needed before finding their forever homes. Our organization provides pet adoption services in Virginia, Washington DC, Maryland, and parts of Southern Pennsylvania. Operation Paws for Homes, a 501(c)(3) organization, is 100% donor funded and could not save these dogs and fulfill their dreams of being united with their forever families, without the dedication of our incredible adopters, fosters, donors and volunteers. Sadly, without our help, all of these adoptable animals would face almost certain euthanasia - usually within days or hours of arriving at the shelter. Each year we take in hundreds of wonderful animals who were left at shelters by no fault of their own.
