Gypsy is a joyful little girl who is just 12 weeks old (as of 2/2) and heading to New England from Mississippi—escaping the rough weather down south and ready to start her next chapter!
This pup is truly eye-catching, with stunning brindle-and-white coloring and the most beautiful, expressive eyes. Gypsy first appeared as a stray in Batesville, but thanks to a kind Good Samaritan who took her off the road, she found her way into foster care—and she’s been thriving ever since.
Gypsy is a classic happy, lively spitfire puppy. She’s curious, playful, and full of personality. She’s already working on crate training, and while her foster mom (who is almost 80!) will be the first to say she’s “doing her best—LOL,” Gypsy is making great progress for such a young pup.
She absolutely loves other dogs and has even been doing well playing with cats, too. Gypsy would do best in a home ready for all the fun, structure, and patience that comes with raising a puppy.
Gypsy arrives in Massachusetts on 2/7 and will be ready to head into her forever home shortly after.
Puppy Expectations: Gypsy is still very much a baby. Like all puppies, she will need time, consistency, and positive training to continue learning house manners, crate skills, and basic obedience. Puppies require supervision, routine, and plenty of patience—and adopters should be prepared for chewing, accidents, and lots of energy as she grows.

PAWS is comprised of a small group of volunteers from New England and Tennessee trying to reduce the euthanization rate (previously 90%) at the Tipton County Animal Control shelter in Brighton, Tennessee. This shelter is forced to euthanize thousands of animals each year due to irresponsible pet owners that do not spay/ neuter their dogs in the area. Millions of dogs in America are euthanized each year due to lack of space and lack of funding to try and find them better homes.
Our mission is to save as many animals as possible, removing them from the shelter, having their veterinary needs met prior to traveling and then finding them loving homes throughout New England. We do this only with the assistance of many people volunteering their time by going to the shelter, transporting the dogs to the vet, fostering dogs who need special care, and arranging for their new and happy homes in this area. Most importantly, we cannot do any of this without those people willing to open their homes and hearts to these lovely creatures.
