My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Blizzard! This sweet guy was brought in from the outdoors as a small kitten, sick and (slightly) nervous. Blizzard has always been the most outgoing and curious of his foster mates- it didn't take him long to warm up and start exploring the room! He now LOVES to escape the foster room and makes it his mission to be successful every time.

Like his sister Frost, Blizzard is very playful. He loves to run after his feline foster mates, chase spirals, run with toy mice in his mouth, and wrestle. He's also a HUGE fan of wet food and churus- a good fishy flavor and you will have quickly gained a friend!

Blizzard LOVES a good pet and full body scritch. He will freeze in place and start purring loudly with his eyes shut from enjoyment. He will stay as long as you rub him but the moment you stop he will be off to the next best thing (he is a kitten after all!) Blizzard has been in foster with two young, cat savy kids and has done great.

Blizzard is 4.5 months old. He is neutered, flea treated, dewormed, microchipped, vaccinated, and has tested FIV+, FeLV negative. FIV+ test results in young kittens may be caused by maternal antibodies. We would recommend having Blizzard retested at six months of age to confirm an accurate FIV test result. If you're looking for a playful yet sweet guy, consider adding Blizzard to your home!

Their adoption process

1.

Submit Application

Typically we talk a little with potential adopters to find a cat who is a good fit before sharing the application.

2.

Approve Application

We check over the application including checking vet references and doing landlord checks.

3.

Interview

We spend more time chatting with the adopters to specifically go over any questions from the application and details about the specific cat.

4.

Meet the Pet

Potential adopters have a meet and greet with the cat or kitten in the foster home.

5.

Sign Adoption Contract

At the meet and greet, if all goes well, the adoption contract can be signed, the fee can be paid, and the pet can go home!

6.

Pay Fee

7.

Take the Pet Home

Additional adoption info

We try to do our best to make sure we find good fitting, responsible homes, without wasting a lot of our time. Our app has a lot of screening questions which help eliminate potential adopters who might not be serious (they usually just don't return the app), or not a good fit, which is why the in depth interview happens once the app is returned.

More about this rescue

We are a small but dedicated 501c3 nonprofit cat rescue specializing in making one person's garbage kitten another person's forever cat.

Our mission is to reduce feline suffering and overpopulation using a combination of TNR and adoptions. We foster and socialize whenever we have the resources to do so, including behavioral cats and kittens who might otherwise just be candidates for TNR.
