Meet Woodrow – A Loving Dog Looking for the Right Home
Woodrow was found in a ditch with his siblings and adopted by our family at about 10 weeks old. While we don’t know his breed, he resembles a Golden Retriever/German Shepherd mix with a bushy tail, hairy legs, and a loyal, intelligent personality.
Woodrow is sweet, cuddly, high-energy, and deeply bonded to his people. He does very well with the dogs in our home and is kennel and house trained. He even rings a bell on the door when he needs to go outside.
Unfortunately, Woodrow struggles with anxiety and aggression toward unfamiliar dogs. He has jumped our fence multiple times and been involved in two incidents, which has made public outings, vet visits, and travel extremely difficult. Despite our love for him, his needs exceed what we can safely provide. Woodrow needs a patient, experienced owner, a secure fenced yard, and a calm environment—ideally as the only dog or with someone willing to carefully manage introductions.
