Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Lara is now ready for adoption! This sweet girl is approximately 2 years old and currently 25 lbs, but she needs to gain at least 3-5 lbs still.
Lara has herding dog tendencies, and will need a home that is experienced with the challenges that those breeds can bring, including the need for a job. The foster's sister is a dog trainer who has generously offered help, either in home or via zoom, with Lara's transition into your home.
Lara is crate trained and currently lives with both dogs and cats. She would probably be best with dog-savvy cats. She is working on potty training and hasn't had an accident in a couple of days.
She loves the snow, listens and responds well, and has a lot of potential!
Lara is spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, heartworm negative, dewormed, and on prevention

More about this rescue
We are a small non-profit rescue focused on the 4.77 square mile town of Speedway, Indiana, home of the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. Our goal is to make Speedway a no-kill town where every animal is spayed/neutered, microchipped and properly cared for. We rescue all animals taken to the town's Animal Control facility. We assist owners in need with veterinary care and food/supplies. We help trap-neuter-release feral cat colonies and socialize/adopt kittens under 3 months old.
Due to limited resources, we are unable to accept animals from outside the town's boundaries at this time.
