My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Toby is a handsome white and orange tabby with a gentle spirit and a heart full of love. He came to us from a neglect case in Juneau County, where animals were living in unsafe and unsanitary conditions with no running water and trash piled throughout the home. Despite the difficult environment he came from, Toby has remained soft, sweet, and hopeful.

This tender boy loves a good snuggle and finds comfort in being close to the people he trusts. He’s currently in a foster home, where he’s taking some well-deserved time to decompress and settle into a safe, predictable routine. With patience and kindness, Toby has begun showing his affectionate side—leaning in for pets, curling up for cuddles, and enjoying the quiet, gentle moments that make him feel secure.

Toby is ready for a forever family who can offer him stability, love, and a peaceful place to continue blossoming. If you’re looking for a sweet, snuggly companion who will reward your kindness with unwavering affection, Toby may be the perfect match. 🧡✨

All our cats are spayed/neutered, dewormed, FELV tested, microchipped, receive prevention while in our care, and up to date on age-appropriate vaccines. If you're interested in adopting, please fill out an application on our website at https://www.sftsrescue.org/adoptable-cats

Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

Our adoption process prioritizes accessibility, equality, and inclusivity. An application can be completed online or in person, ensuring accessibility for all potential adopters. Additionally, our application is available in Spanish to cater to a diverse range of applicants.

Once an application is submitted and approved, we facilitate adoption meet-and-greets on-site at our shelter's adoption center. This allows potential adopters to interact with the animals they are interested in and make informed decisions about their adoption.

Overall, our adoption program is designed to make the process as smooth and inclusive as possible, ensuring that each animal finds a loving and permanent home.
