Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Hi, I'm Kai! Although short, my name can mean many different things, including 'restoration' or 'triumph,' which I think is pretty fitting. Despite the conditions that I was found in, they say that I have been pretty healthy from the start and was able to get all of my necessary vetting already! If that's not a triumph, I don't know what is! Now all I need is to find a new home, and you can experience the triumph of gaining an amazing new family member too!

Animals have to be spayed or neutered prior to leaving the shelter. This is covered completely by the adoption fee if the adopter uses one of our local approved vets. If the adopter wants to have the spay/neuter done by a different vet, AWOL will pay a portion of the cost. All animals leaving prior to being spayed/neutered require a deposit that will be returned to the adopter after proof of spay/neuter.
