My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

This cat is in Tennessee. Adoption Donation $75 if picked up in TN.* Visit http://aarf-tn.com/adopt/cat-adoption-application/ to apply.

Jack is a charming and affectionate 3 year-old Russian Blue mix with a soft silver-grey coat, white markings, and an adorable little nubby tail. He has a big personality and an even bigger heart, making him the perfect companion for someone looking for a devoted feline friend. Jack is incredibly sweet and loves to be held, often stretching up on your leg to ask for snuggles. He isn’t the most talkative cat, but when he does meow, it’s always out of pure excitement—especially when it’s time for dinner. In fact, one of his most endearing habits is spinning in circles when he knows food is coming, happily performing a few extra spins before enjoying his meal.

Playtime is a huge part of Jack’s daily routine, and nothing excites him more than chasing bubbles. The moment he sees them, he starts meowing in delight, eagerly leaping into the air to catch them. He also enjoys watching videos of falling leaves on TV, wand toys, feathered attachments, and puzzle feeders keep him entertained, and he loves working for treats on a lick mat. Jack is not only playful but also adventurous, sometimes perching on his person's shoulders from a cat tree or the back of a chair just to be close. He drinks his water like a true gentleman, delicately dipping his paw into the bowl before sipping.

Jack would thrive in a home where he can be the center of attention. He would do best as the only pet, as he can be dominant with shy or timid cats and finds the presence of other animals a tad bit stressful. Jack is looking for a home with someone who could provide him his daily medication to ensure he lives a long happy life.  He is welcoming toward visitors but would prefer a home without young children, as he is not fond of loud, unpredictable energy. Jack is looking for a cat-savvy adopter who will appreciate his quirks, give him the love he craves, and provide him with plenty of entertainment. If you’re searching for a devoted, playful, and endlessly entertaining best friend, Jack is ready to spin his way into your heart.

THIS PET IS FOSTERED IN TENNESSEE! We do list and adopt our pets nationwide. Typical transport cost to the Northeast is $180. Due to interstate adoption regulations, we are not able to adopt to RI and MA state residents.

A.A.R.F. (All About Rescue and Fixin' Inc.) http://aarf-tn.com/ is a non-profit, 501(c)(3) no kill animal rescue organization located in the Upper Cumberland area of Tennessee. A.A.R.F. is comprised of unpaid volunteers and survives only on public donations. Thank you for thinking adoption first!

Prior to adoption, all canines and felines are spayed or neutered, have received their age appropriate vaccinations, have been de-wormed for common parasites, and have received treatment for prevention of fleas and ticks. All canines over the age of 6 months have been tested for heartworm. All canines are put on heartworm prevention as soon as possible - this means dogs as soon as they are tested negative. Puppies are put on prevention immediately. All felines, regardless of age, have been tested for Feline Leukemia/FIV. Each animal receives a health check by a licensed veterinarian prior to adoption. Anything else found will be treated by our organization prior to adoption.

Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

Our adoption process starts with the submittal of an Adoption Application online and a phone interview with one of our adoption coordinators. To be sure the long distance adoption is the right match for both the dog and family, we offer virtual video conference meeting for your new family member. Following verification and approval of your adoption application, we will arrange a professional transport of our new family member to your area. Our adoption donations range from $200-$300 depending on circumstances of the rescue dog, age, breed, etc. Professional transportation for your new family member is $150. We require a signed contract, driver's license and vet reference.

Go meet their pets

Our rescue doesn't have an actual shelter in the New York area. Therefore it is not possible to meet our rescues in person prior to their adoption. Our dogs are brought up to their new families each week! The professional transport service is certified through the USDA. Our rescue dogs can be returned to us if things don't work out. We want each adoption to be for a forever home, so we try very hard to make sure it's the right match! Video conference meetings available and encouraged.

More about this rescue

A.A.R.F. (All About Rescue and Fixin Inc.) is a 501(c)(3) no-kill animal rescue located in the Upper Cumberland Region of Middle Tennessee where animal control issues are out of control. A.A.R.F. is making a difference not only in the lives of these wonderful, abandoned and neglected animals, but also in our community. We encourage you to see the wonderful dogs and puppies that we have available for adoption – and the best part is that we have a local transportation company, P.E.T.S. LLC (as seen on Animal Planet’s “Last Chance Highway”) right next door!
