Hi there - I'm King, and I'm here with my sister Queen! We're a bonded pair, which means we're adopted together, and honestly... we wouldn't want it any other way! Queen and I came to the shelter after being abandoned in a home together. Through all of that, we stuck by each other, and she's been my steady anchor ever since. Because of how closely connected we are and how much confidence we bring out in one another, the shelter made us a bonded pair - and it just makes sense. I'll admit, I'm the quieter one at first. New situations can make me a little shy, but once Queen lets me know everything is okay, I really open up. After that, I'm all about affection and being close to my people. I've got a bit more energy than my sister, but it's nothing overwhelming - just enough that I can sometimes convince her to romp around with me before we both settle back down. Queen is our protector. She's confident, vocal about her opinions, and always keeping an eye on things, but underneath her tough-girl attitude she's a total sweetheart. She's pretty mellow and not overly interested in playing. A short walk and then curling up on the couch together is her idea of a perfect day - and mine too. Here at the shelter, we don't seem very interested in the other dogs around us and mostly keep to ourselves. Because of that, we may be able to make doggy friends in the future with slow, proper introductions. We would also do best with respectful kids who understand giving us space and won't be too grabby or in our faces. It might feel like a big commitment to bring home two dogs at once, but we're perfectly sized for it and very well behaved together. We balance each other beautifully and truly bring out the best in one another! If you're looking for a calm, loving duo with a built-in best friend system, Queen and I would love to be part of your home! Primary Color: Tri Color Weight: 38.2 Age: 1yrs 6mths 1wks
