My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi there - I'm Queen, and this is my brother King! We come as a package deal, so if you're looking for double the love (without double the chaos), you're already off to a great start! King and I were brought to the shelter together after being abandoned in a home, and we've been inseparable ever since. We truly are each other's safe place. Because of how closely bonded we are and how much confidence we give one another, the shelter decided we must be adopted together - and honestly, we wouldn't have it any other way! I'm the protector of the two of us. I'm not shy about sharing my opinions and I like to keep an eye on things, but don't let my tough-girl attitude fool you. Underneath it all, I'm a total lovebug. I'm pretty mellow and not all that interested in toys or constant playtime. I'm happiest with a short, relaxed walk and then curling up on the couch with my brother (and hopefully you). King is a bit more reserved at first. He usually waits for me to give the "all clear," and once he knows things are okay, his sweet, affectionate side comes right out. He has a little more energy than I do, but it's not overwhelming - just enough that he can still convince me to romp around with him every now and then before we both settle back down. Here at the shelter, we don't seem too concerned about the other dogs around us. We mostly stick to our own little world, which means we may be able to make some doggy friends in the future with proper introductions. We would also do best in a home with respectful kids who understand giving us space and won't be too grabby or in our faces. Taking home two dogs might sound like a lot, but we're perfectly sized for it and incredibly well-behaved together. We balance each other out, bring out the best in one another, and make life feel calm, cozy, and full in all the right ways. If you're ready for a built-in duo who already knows how to be good housemates, best friends, and loyal companions - we'd love to meet you!
