My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

My name is Atlas! I am the brother of two other pups that have been adopted recently. I am the golden boy of the group, physically for sure but perhaps also figuratively. I am a lab mix. I am a gentle "giant," although I won't be a giant full grown. I am about 50 lbs and 7 months. I am a bit lanky so we think I could put on another 15 lbs. I am housebroken and I am totally fine in the crate with a little cajoling by my human. I just started my exposure to it so at first, I was like "what is that?" When I figure out there is a yummy treat in there, I settle right in. Overall, I am a pretty lazy adolescent but I am young and still need my moderate exercise and I am sure I would love a little adventure! I LOVE to cuddle. I also love to play with my dog friends (even the tiniest of dog friends). I am gentle but may need a reminder not to jump when eager. I love kids too; I have not been around kids under 6 but we feel that my love for kids over 6 would translate well based on what we have seen of me. I will need some practice on leash; I don't have much experience yet so a little patience and positive reinforcement will teach me that walking can be fun on the end of that line (when it isn't 2 degrees outside). I am located in NJ! Here is the link to the application: https://www.zivadogrescue.org/adoptable-dogs
