HOW TO ADOPT: This cat is participating in our Shelter Cat Getaway foster program, which gives cats a vacation from the shelter and lets them enjoy home life while they wait to be adopted. To schedule a time to meet this cat, please contact Mary at mmccarroll@arl-iowa.org
---
- Loves gentle affection, and especially likes to be brushed
- Enjoys all toys and is playful
- Prefers not to be picked up and carried
- A large cat with a big heart to match; has sweet, soulful eyes and so much love to give
- Can co-exist with another low-key cat, but a busy, active kitty may be too much for him in his new home
- Young, busy children are not a good fit or him, so he is looking for a more mature home, that is calm and peaceful
This pet is considered to be in their senior years and may enjoy calmer activities and environments. They may also have medical or behavior needs related to their age. Click here for tips for making a comfortable life for senior pets.
All adoptable cats and kittens are spayed/neutered, microchipped and up to date on vaccinations (rabies and FVRCP as appropriate for their age)
