This little girl has been through more than we’ll probably ever know. Marley was found alongside a friend in heartbreaking, emaciated condition. From there she landed in a loving foster home where she fought her way back — recovering weight, strength, and even overcoming pneumonia.
Watching her come back to life has been nothing short of amazing. 💛
As Marley began to feel safe and healthy, her personality blossomed… and she made her wishes very clear: she would love to be the queen of her castle. She can absolutely see dogs on walks and coexist at a distance without reacting, and she redirects easily on leash, but in the home she prefers the spotlight all to herself — and honestly, she deserves it.
Marley is a petite, pocket-sized snuggler who wants nothing more than to curl up with her person. She’s doing great with potty training, is very food-motivated, and is eager to learn. She’s the kind of dog who bonds deeply and will happily spend her days being your shadow and your couch companion.
If you’re looking for a devoted, cuddly, easy-train companion and are happy having just one perfect dog, Marley is your girl. Make her the only princess in your home — she’s ready to love you forever. 🐾

Border Tails Rescue is a licensed no-kill animal rescue and welfare organization dedicated to the rescue and adoption of stray dogs across the world, with a unique focus on Mexico. Border Tails Rescue has a physical shelter facility with dogs on site for viewing everyday. Border Tails Rescue primarily works with rural shelters across the country, including but not limited to TX, AR, AL, LA, KY, IN, and MI on a regular basis as well as CACC, Chicago’s open intake shelter. BTR is Woman-founded by Harleigh Garcia, who was 20 years old at the time. The organization was founded in December of 2019 and Border Tails Rescue is registered with Illinois Secretary of State as a non profit organization. Border Tails Rescue operates entirely on donations and adoption fees.
