Nikolaus, lovingly called Klaus, is a 10 year old American Eskimo and Pomeranian mix with the energy and spirit of a much younger dog. He is affectionate, gentle, and happiest curled up in your lap or beside you on the couch. He enjoys walks, short play sessions, and being part of everyday home life, but he is also content to relax quietly near his person. Klaus loves baths and grooming and goes to the groomer at least once a month. He eats a wet food diet and is used to being an indoor dog only. He is good with other pets, including cats, and is not aggressive. Klaus can be sensitive about being picked up and does best with someone patient who will move slowly, build trust, and respect his comfort level. Once he feels safe, he bonds very deeply. Due to a housing change, his owner is looking for a loving permanent home or a one year foster in the Wilmington, Delaware area. A calm home where someone is around often would be ideal. A home visit and meet and greet will be required to make
