My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet our sweet dilute calico girl

Imagine this beautiful little kitten in your home—trotting over to greet you, happily batting at her toys, scratching away on her favorite cardboard pads, and then settling in close for affection. At just four months old, she’s friendly, gentle, and loves being near her people. She has a soft, loving nature and enjoys both playful moments and cozy, quiet time.

This special girl has a sensitive tummy and does best on a veterinary-recommended diet that helps her feel comfortable and happy. She’s doing well, and our staff will be happy to explain more and answer any questions so you feel confident caring for her. A starter supply of her food and probiotic powder will be included with her adoption to help her transition smoothly into her new home.

She is a sweet, deserving kitten ready to be loved and cherished in a caring home. In return, she’ll bring warmth, companionship, and gentle joy into your everyday life

More about this shelter

We are a local non-profit organization run and staffed by your neighbors. We make decisions on caring for homeless, unwanted, abandoned and abused domestic animals based on what we believe is best for them. We have no affiliation with any larger group and we receive no funding from any larger group that might influence our decisions or actions.

We advocate only for the animals in our care to help them find their forever home with you.

UPAWS does not receive operating funds from any governmental agency. We rely on donations from our neighbors and friends to make our efforts possible. We save consistently 98% of the animals who come to us – which is an award-winning success story. We want to educate everyone on proper animal care so there soon won’t be the three percent who come to us too sick or wounded to be saved. It’s your support that makes this dream possible.
