Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Marshall here: I am brand new at the retirement kennel and I am getting used to everything here. They say I am a very busy boy and I guess that is true. I like to do zoomies all around the play yard and check everything out. I am not sure what these things are that they keep throwing for me. I guess I am supposed to do something called "play" with them but I have not discovered what that is yet. There are so many things to learn, besides play, like listening and walking nicely on a leash and paying attention to the humans around me. I am not a fan of the leash and I need to learn how to quit pulling like I do. They say I just need to settle into the routine so they can get to know me better. ***I will need a fenced in yard so I can run and play and get my sunbathing in. We do adopt to approved families in surrounding states. I am neutered, Heartworm negative, and microchipped. AmericanLurcherProject@gmail.com.

More about this rescue
The American Lurcher Rescue Project, Inc. (“ALP”) aka Ohio Lurcher Project is a 501(c)(3) all volunteer non-profit organization dedicated to the welfare of racing lurchers and greyhound mixes. We work hard to find responsible groups and/or homes when and, if appropriate, for retired racing lurchers and greyhound mixes that have been abandoned or no longer wanted. The ALP transports lurchers to adoption groups, does direct adoptions, and provides basic and emergency medical care, and temporary boarding. We work hard to raise awareness of the need for finding homes for the racing lurchers once their career has ended, through social media, networking, and the general support of a caring community.
