Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet Tatum!
Tatum is a delightful little kitten with a big personality and an even bigger heart. True to her sweet name, she is full of love, joy, and playful energy. Whether she’s chasing toys, pouncing on imaginary “prey,” or zooming around the room, Tatum is always ready for fun.
But when playtime is over, she’s just as happy to curl up for a cozy nap or snuggle close for cuddles. She has the perfect balance of spunk and sweetness—making her an easy kitten to fall in love with.
Tatum is wonderful with other cats and gets along great with both adults and children. Her gentle, friendly nature makes her a perfect companion for families or anyone looking for a loving furry friend.
If you’re searching for a kitten who will brighten your home with affection, laughter, and endless charm, Tatum is ready to steal your heart. 💕
All CSHS kitties are spayed/neutered, up to date on age-appropriate vaccines, FIV/FeLV test (if not born in care), dewormed and microchipped.

While we are a foster-based animal rescue and all of our dogs are in foster care, we do have a cat adoption space at our new Adoption & Wellness Center in Chaska. We also partner with local retail locations like PetSmart Richfield and Chuck & Don's Chanhassen to feature adoptable cats at their stores.

More about this rescue
Carver-Scott Humane Society was founded in 1989 with the mission of connecting animals in need with people who care. Our vision is a world where every animal is safe, cared for, and loved.
In 2017, we introduced a new, innovative rescue philosophy based on our Four Pillars: TNR, Serve Where You Save, FurKeeps, and Adopters Welcome. As of 2018, we adopt over 500 dogs and cats into the community every year, with a nationally reported Live Release Rate of 97%. We serve over 1,000 Minnesota pets and their families annually through our surrender prevention program, FurKeeps, aiming to keep pets out of the shelter system in the first place.
CSHS focuses on serving and saving Minnesota pets, and we do not transport animals in from out of state. We do our best to prevent surrender, which creates capacity for us to transfer most of our animals from high-volume impounds and shelters throughout the state. For the past three years, we have transferred more animals from Minneapolis Animal Care & Control than any other animal welfare organization.
