Meet Ford!

Ford is a 3-year-old Beagle/Basset mix weighing 35 lbs with the classic hound charm everyone loves. He came to the shelter through an owner surrender after his family had more dogs than they could manage, and now he’s ready for a true second chance.

This good boy is neutered, current on his rabies vaccine, and fully house trained. Ford is known for his gentle, happy-go-lucky personality and does wonderfully with kids and other dogs. He’s the kind of dog who’s content to follow you around, soak up affection, and enjoy the simple things.

Ford will be arriving on 2/21 and would make a loyal, loving companion for a family or individual looking for an easygoing hound mix.

More about this rescue

Peace4paws is a 501 (c) 3 non profit public charity centered in Northern New Jersey. Through our foster home system, we are able to support the rehoming and adoption of dogs from kill shelters as well as facilities of research and related fields. Founded in 2007, our initial mission focused on supporting sanctuary and forever homes for animals retired from use in research and related fields. In the past few years we have broadened our scope of rescue. We continue to help our own retired research animals and independent sanctuaries but also save shelter dogs. We are able to do this work through the efforts of our volunteer network and generous donors. Please see our website or facebook page "Peace4Paws" to meet our adoptable dogs, success stories or volunteer opportunities. We organize fundraising events centered around yoga, music, health, or animal friendly activities. We are also involved with student outreach and education. We would love to work with you.
