My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Midnight 💙

This striking medium-haired boy is the definition of sweet. Super fluffy, gentle, and full of charm, Midnight settles into a new space with curious confidence—carefully exploring every corner before circling back to rub lovingly around your legs for attention.

He has a playful side, too! Chasing little balls, batting feather wands, and birdwatching from a cozy window perch are some of his favorite activities. When playtime winds down, Midnight is all about the cuddles. He’s easy to pick up, happily settles into your lap, and loves stretching out on your chest for warm, purring snuggle sessions.

Midnight is also quite the conversationalist, greeting you with the sweetest chirpy meow to share updates about his day. In his foster home, he gently tries to befriend the resident cats and is wonderfully respectful if they’re not interested—no hissing, no growling, no drama. Because he enjoys feline company, his ideal home would include a friendly kitty companion.

Estimated to be 2–3 years old and weighing about 10.5 pounds, Midnight was found as a stray. With his large, plush frame and magnificent bushy tail, we suspect there may be a bit of Maine Coon in his family tree. If you’re looking for a devoted, affectionate, and oh-so-handsome companion, Midnight may just be your purrfect match. Meet him in Lorton, VA. Updated 2/27/26

Additional adoption info

We strive to make the "purr-fect" match through our interview and application process. Adoption fees, which range from $165-$185, include all medical work (FELV/FIV testing, shots; spay/neuter, etc); home visits may be required prior to final placement. The majority of our kittens are only available for adoption in pairs or as a companion to another young cat/kitten already in the home. Sorry, but we do not adopt very young kittens to families with children under 6 yrs old due to safety concerns for both child and kitten. Adopters also receive a certificate for a free comprehensive wellness exam at any Caring Hands Animal Hospital.

Go meet their pets

All of our cats are cared for in cage-free private foster homes; therefore, we request an application be completed before setting up appointments to meet them. Request an application by emailing us through our website. Adopters must live within a reasonable driving distance to No. VA ( maximum 60 minutes); we do not ship/transport our animals.

More about this rescue

We are a small, private feline-only rescue group dedicated to the rescue, care and placement of homeless cats and kittens. We do not have a shelter and rely on a group of dedicated foster homes to care for our felines until a "fur-ever" home can be found. We actively promote the importance of spaying and neutering and best practices in companion animal care. The majority of our cats/kittens come from high-kill shelters. We do not receive any government funding and rely on private contributions, 100% of which go to provide medical care, food and supplies.
