Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Murphy is available through our `Adopt From a Foster Home` program. If you are interested in scheduling a meeting, please fill out the request form here: Adopt From Foster Form. Please do not make an appointment through our online booking calendar, as he is not available to meet on site.
Meet Murphy! This sweet, playful pup was found as a stray, and while the shelter was overwhelming for him, he is thriving in his foster home. There is still a lot that we don`t know about him, but he is teaching us more and more each day. Murphy is full of puppy energy and loves attention! He may jump or whine when excited, but with guidance from his foster family, he’s learning to sit calmly and redirect his chewing to toys.
Murphy is a quick learner and already almost has a “spin” mastered! He loves to play, cuddle, and be near his people, and he’s happiest when he’s mentally and physically stimulated. With patience, positive reinforcement training, and lots of love, Murphy will continue to turn himself into the perfect companion. When it comes to other animals, we`re not sure how Murphy would do, so we are recommending slow introductions and management if you have another furry friend in the home.
If you’re ready for a devoted, affectionate, and fun-loving pup to join your family, Murphy is ready to meet you and start his next adventure!
Murphy is: - open to kids - open to cats - open to dogs

From our earliest beginning, Calgary Humane Society was more than a shelter. As Calgary’s first-established animal welfare organization, connecting the lives of animals and people while providing essential animal services to the community remains our central priority.
Today, Calgary Humane Society (CHS) shelters almost 5,000 homeless animals each year. In 1922 we set out to help as many animals as we can and we will continue to do so by fostering the values of respect, compassion, commitment, teamwork, integrity and innovation.
Our mission is to help as many animals as we can.
Our vision is using innovative strategies to lead, inspire, and educate in the humane treatment of companion animals, fostering an enlightened community that consistently demonstrates respect and compassion for all animals.
Our dream is a community where animals are valued, humanely treated, and live enriched lives.
Calgary Humane Society is committed to creating a better tomorrow through education and collaboration.
