This handsome 10-month-old pup is a large boy at around 50 pounds and is still growing. Kaloo came to us through an interstate transfer from another shelter, so much of his background is unknown. What we do know is that the shelter environment has been a bit overwhelming for him, and he’s shown himself to be nervous while he adjusts. With time and a calmer setting, we expect his personality to continue to unfold.
Kaloo will do best with adopters who understand that transitions can be hard and are willing to give him the space and patience he needs to settle in. We ask that everyone in the household meet Kaloo prior to adoption to ensure he’s a good fit for the home. A predictable routine and gentle guidance will go a long way in helping him feel safe and secure.
Kaloo arrived with his littermates and tends to gain confidence when he’s around other dogs. He may do well in a home with a friendly, social dog who can help show him the ropes. As a young dog, Kaloo would greatly benefit from positive reinforcement training classes to help build confidence and set him up for long-term success.

About the Adoption

Animals go home at the time of adoption. Adoption Counselors invest time with you to make sure you’re fully informed before you leave and have all the resources you need to introduce your new pet(s) into your home.
After the Adoption
About a week after you adopt, a CAHS Adoption Counselor will follow-up with you to see how things are going and offer assistance should you need it.
