My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hey everyone! I’m Coco, a 1-year-old chocolate cocker spaniel boy who’s 25lbs of pure puppy energy! And yes, I’m sweet as chocolate!

I’m ALL puppy, which means I’m adorable, energetic, and still learning the ropes of being a good boy. I’m great with all people including kids, and I get along well with cats! I think I’d be fine with other dogs, but I haven’t met many yet.

Here’s the deal: I’m a very sweet boy who needs a patient adopter to nurture and train me. I’m still working on my house training skills (hey, I’m still young!), and I need help with leash walking and overall puppy obedience training. Oh, and I’m a champion chewer – I’ll chew on everything! Cocker spaniels are smart and eager to please, so with the right guidance, I’ll learn quickly!

What I REALLY need: an active adopter who loves long walks and has a fenced-in yard where I can burn off all this puppy energy! Having another doggie sibling to learn from and play with would be ideal – I’d love a role model to show me the ropes!

Think you’re ready for the puppy life? I promise to make it worth your while with endless love and chocolate kisses!

More about this rescue

Florida Coastal Cocker Rescue (FCCR) is a non-profit organization located in SW Florida. We are dedicated to rescuing, rehabilitating, and re-homing Cocker Spaniels throughout the state of Florida and neighboring states. We rely 100% on donations and volunteers to help us take care of our dogs. All of our dogs are spayed or neutered, up to date on vaccines and rabies, heartworm tested, flea and heartworm treatment, and microchip.

FCCR carefully screens all of our potential furever and foster homes to ensure that our pups will have safe and loving homes. Some of our dogs come from shelters and abusive situations and we want to make sure that they will only see love the rest of their lives.
