My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Chicky – Your New Chatty Best Friend ??

This little lady, Chicky, is just the sweetest thing! Born around 10/10/2021, she is fully vetted and ready for her next big adventure — finding a loving forever home.

Chicky absolutely adores being petted and thrives on attention. If you’re looking for a cat who will happily be the center of your world, she may be your perfect match. She’s also quite the talker and isn’t shy about letting you know when she would like some extra love and attention.

Chicky was originally rescued from life outdoors by her previous owners. Unfortunately, they were no longer able to care for her and made the difficult decision to bring her to us so she could find a new family.

She does well with children, loves every human she meets, and is selective with other cats, so a proper introduction would be important if there are feline friends in the home.

Come meet Chicky during our open cat viewing hours:
?? Mondays: 12:00 PM – 5:00 PM
?? Fridays: 12:00 PM – 6:00 PM

Or apply online to schedule your own special appointment to meet this affectionate, chatty girl.

Additional adoption info

Before You Adopt: Please consider these factors before filling out an application:

1. Animals are expensive to care for. They require food, shelter, toys, grooming, and veterinary health and dental care.

2. Animals require attention. You have to clean up after their messes, protect them from anything that might harm them, and make sure they get adequate play time and exercise. Some require training, which takes patience, love, and commitment.

Adopting a Friend: Adopter will fill out an application to start the adoption process. We don't adopt on a first come, first served basis, but instead adopt based on what we feel is in the animal's best interest. We DO NOT ship animals.

Adoption Requirements:

1. Have verifiable identification

2. Be at least 18 years of age

3. If renting, have landlords consent to bring a pet to your home

4. All adopted pets must be spayed or neutered

5. All pets must leave the shelter on a collar and leash, or in a pet carrier

6. Agree to all terms of the adoption contract; ESHA reserves the right to deny any application
