Animal Information: Venus is an estimated almost 7-week-old, female, German Shepherd/Malinois mix, weighing approximately 5lbs. Venus is the roman goddess of love. She was found as a stray with her mom and 9 siblings. She has been at the Devore animal shelter for 2 weeks and was on the euth listed due to space. Thanks to a Seattle area foster stepping up to take the family in, they were all saved. We will share more about Venus her mom and siblings as they settle in.

Adoption Info: Adoption fee is $575 which includes spay/neuter, core vaccinations Rabies and DPPV per AVMA standards, any indicated preventative care, heartworm test, microchip with lifetime registration, and recent health check with a veterinarian. Adoption fee may be tax deductible as Dog Gone Seattle is a 501c3 organization (ID 81-5101166).

Animal History: This dog was transferred from in Devore Animal Shelter in CA. She will be transferred via Wiggle Butts, arriving to foster care on 01/25/2026 and available for adoption in the greater Seattle area once evaluated in foster care.

All potential adopters must complete the adoption application including veterinary and personal references. In addition, a home check may be required. Adoptions will not be approved without an in-person meeting with the adoptable dog and a volunteer or foster from the rescue organization. Dog Gone Seattle is a Seattle-based non-profit corporation established in 2013 as a community based organization and in 2017 as a non-profit corporation seeking to place homeless dogs in forever homes in the Seattle area. We take in dogs from high-kill shelters in California and Texas, as well as dogs from unfortunate circumstances in Washington and beyond.
