A Little Bit About Us

Pancha and Chloe are a friendly, bonded pair of sisters that can't wait to find their forever home. Chloe is the quicker to meet new people, coming to you almost immediately to get to know you by rubbing you with her face and - if you're lucky - her luxurious floofy tail. She accepts gentle pets soon after and loves keeping your attention. Pancha sometimes follows Chloe to you after a minute or two and sometimes prefers to stay in her bed, but in both cases also enjoys pets from a patient person. Come see if these ladies can be the companions you have been looking for.

More about this rescue

We are a group of people dedicated to rescuing dogs from crisis situations, some of which include euthanasia by animal shelters, neglect and other forms of abuse, or "free to a good home" ads, which result in dogs being bounced from one home to another, or being acquired by animal brokers ("bunchers") and sold to research laboratories where they are used for testing then discarded ("cruelty industries").

NBCR&P works primarily with 5 herding breeds, and herding breed mixes. On occasion, NBCR&P also rescues and places other breeds. We foster our dogs in a home environment, rather than a kennel, if at all possible. We take pride in our promise that at any time and for any reason in the dog's life, if the need arises, he or she has a safe place with us ("return to rescue" policy).
