Carti is a sweet, shy, and sensitive girl who is looking for a calm, loving home where she can truly feel safe and secure.

She was adopted from a rescue in Fredericksburg, VA and previously lived on an Amish farm in Ohio, so her early life was very quiet and sheltered. Because of this, she can be timid and unsure in new environments, especially around loud or unfamiliar sounds. With time, patience, and consistency, she has made beautiful progress and continues to grow more confident.

Carti bonds deeply with kind, gentle humans. While she is not overly cuddly, she shows her love in her own special ways—getting excited when her person comes home, staying close by, and seeking reassurance. Once she trusts you, she is incredibly loyal and sweet.

She does best in a quiet home with one person or a couple, rather than a busy family. She prefers being the only dog and feels most comfortable in calm, predictable environments.
