My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

🐾 Cocoa – Sweet, Loving Girl Seeking an Only-Dog Home

Cocoa is a wonderful dog with a big heart and an even bigger love for people. She is affectionate, cuddly, and extremely friendly with humans of all ages. She currently lives with a young child and does great with kids. She enjoys being close to her people, relaxing at home, and getting attention.

However, Cocoa must be the only dog in the home. While she can sometimes coexist around other dogs, she has shown that living with another dog long-term is not a safe situation. For everyone’s safety, she needs a home where she does not have to share her space with other pets.

Cocoa also experiences separation anxiety. She has improved since we’ve had her, but she can still become stressed when left alone. When crated for longer periods, she may have accidents in the crate. She will do best with an adopter who is patient, understanding, and willing to continue working on her comfort and confidence when alone.
