My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Tequila

Breed: Corgi Mix
Sex: Female
Birthday: 8/10/2023
Health: Vaccinated (not yet spayed)

Tequila is a bright, joyful girl with a bubbly personality and a tail-wagging enthusiasm for life. True to her name, she brings fun, warmth, and a little sparkle wherever she goes. Tequila is the kind of dog who makes people smile the moment they meet her.

Personality

Tequila is happy, outgoing, and affectionate. She loves people, enjoys attention, and thrives on interaction and companionship. She’s playful without being overwhelming and confident without being pushy — a wonderful balance of fun and sweetness. Whether she’s greeting you with excitement or settling in close for affection, Tequila’s presence is pure joy.

Breed Info: Corgi Mix

Corgis and Corgi mixes are known for:

  • Friendly, social personalities

  • Intelligence and eagerness to learn

  • Loyalty and strong family bonds

  • Playful energy paired with affection

They do best in homes that enjoy engagement, routine, and companionship.

Owner Responsibilities

Tequila will thrive with an adopter who can offer:

  • Daily interaction, play, and companionship

  • Consistent routines and positive reinforcement

  • Time and patience for continued training

  • A lifelong commitment to her care

As an unspayed dog, future veterinary care and responsible planning will be important.

⚠️ Things to Consider Before Adopting

Before welcoming Tequila home, please consider:

  • Do you have time for daily exercise and engagement?

  • Is your housing situation stable and pet-friendly long term?

  • Are you prepared for routine vet care and possible spay surgery?

  • Will Tequila be included as part of the family?

  • Adoption is a lifelong commitment through all life changes

Vet Care

Although Tequila is vaccinated and doing well, adopters should schedule a visit with their own veterinarian as soon as possible after adoption to establish care and plan next steps.

3-3-3 Rule

  • First 3 days: Tequila may feel excited and a little overwhelmed

  • First 3 weeks: She’ll learn your routine and begin settling in

  • First 3 months: Trust deepens, and she’ll truly feel at home

Consistency and patience will help her shine.

Why Tequila Will Be a Great Addition

Tequila is happiness on four legs. She’s loving, confident, and ready to share her joyful spirit with a family who will embrace her fully. If you’re looking for a dog who brings warmth, laughter, and loyal companionship into your life, Tequila is ready to toast to forever with you

More about this rescue

We are dedicated to saving dogs from high kill shelters, strays, owner surrenders and hoarders. We have been saving animals since December 2016. We hold weekly adoption events at various pet stores and pet expos. We hire dog walkers to walk our dogs and we have volunteers who help us weekly. Many of our dogs go to boarding and training to become adoptable and work on their behavioral issues. All our dogs are assessed to find a great family match.

All dogs receive all necessary medical attention and all dogs are vetted.
