My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Oh hi there! My name is Lois and I now reside at the shelter. I had a home with my owner and my sister, but we kept getting out of our yard and running loose. So one day Animal Control came out to pick us up and our owner just went ahead and signed us over to the nice deputy. He was having trouble keeping us contained and thought maybe someone else could do a better job. So I am at the shelter where I have gotten all of my vaccinations, I am heartworm negative, I have a microchip, and I have been spayed. I am around 6 months old and I am a Lab mix. I hope that someone will want to adopt a “rather” large puppy and make me a part of the family!

Additional adoption info

The placement of our adoptable animals into loving, caring homes and thereby enhancing the bond between animals and people is the primary goal of the Montgomery Humane Society Adoption Program. We focus on education so that every pet owner benefits from their contact with the shelter, whether or not they adopt an animal from us. Matching the needs of the animal and the potential owner, as well as educating potential owners about responsible pet ownership, helps to ensure successful pet placements of shelter animals.
