If you see pets listed by a private owner, it means that they’re adoptable through Adopt a Pet’s Rehome program – the safe and reliable way to find a loving new home for your pet.
Cleo (Cleopatra) is our beloved 6-7-year-old, 22-lb mixed breed. We adopted her in Philadelphia, and she originally came from South Carolina. She's cuddly, affectionate, and wonderful with children. Cleo is smart and thrives with routine. She knows many commands (sit, down, place, heel, outside, dance, etc.) and even knows how to play hide and seek (the seeking part), and does great with structure. She loves walks, playtime, and being close to her people, and she truly enjoys playing with other dogs. She's generally dog-friendly, though she can bark when she's unsure or when a human isn't guiding the moment; with calm leadership and reassurance, she settles and does great. She tends to avoid cats (they're just not as playful as she is!). Cleo is spayed and fully vetted with recent records: vaccines and dental current, and on heartworm/flea prevention. We are seeking a loving, stable home due to a move and housing restrictions that unfortunately don't allow dogs.
