My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Willow Rose (A139554) is a 2-year-old Lab x Pitbull mix who weighed 57.9 pounds on intake!

02/03/26 This escapee is Miss Willow Rose! Willow Rose was surrendered to the shelter because her owner was struggling to keep her contained. She was known to jump fences and would take the opportunity to run if given the chance. Willow Rose is looking for an owner who can keep her contained while outdoors, whether on a leash, on a secure tie-out, or supervised in a fenced-in yard. She was said to be kennel-trained, housebroken (will whine at the door), and already knows her basic commands! Willow Rose was noted to be initially timid around men but does very well with women. Her surrendering owner noted that she is very gentle with babies, but once children are past the toddler stage, she will jump up and possibly knock them over. Not maliciously, but because she does not understand her size or strength. We encourage her next owner to bring her to a basic obedience class with a certified trainer to continue working on her manners and break a few of these less desirable habits. Willow Rose previously lived with other dogs and was said to do well. She has no history with cats, pocket pets, or livestock. Please ensure you are making slow, safe, and controlled introductions with all new potential friends to help set her up for success. Willow Rose is looking for a home that can keep her both mentally and physically stimulated so she stays out of mischief. If you are interested in meeting Willow Rose, please let us know!
