My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

More About Sierra
-Sweet, gentle, and very people loving
-Not a fan of cold weather and prefers cozy cuddles
-Has lived with cats and a baby
-Enjoys spending time and playing with other dogs
-Loves being close to her people

Sierra is a sweet girl originally from Tennessee with a heart made for comfort and connection. She is not a big fan of the cold and would much rather be tucked in close with her favorite person, sharing a cozy blanket and enjoying the warmth of a quiet moment together.

Sierra has a wonderful history of living peacefully with others. She has lived with cats and a baby and did beautifully, showing her gentle and loving nature in every interaction. She has also spent time playing with other dogs and truly enjoyed their company. Everywhere she goes, Sierra seems to make friends with ease.

She is calm, affectionate, and happiest when she is close to the people she loves, reminding everyone that sometimes the best moments are the quiet ones.

More about this rescue

Animal Farm Foundation gets to know each dog as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not by breed label.

Located in Dutchess County NY, AFF has been working nationally to secure equal treatment and opportunity for “pit bull” dogs since 1985.

OUR ORGANIZATION
Animal Farm Foundation, Inc., a not-for-profit corporation, has been rescuing and re-homing animals, as well as making grants to other humane organizations, since the mid-1980's.

We currently dedicate our resources to securing equal treatment and opportunity for "pit bull" dogs. Whether the dog is called a "pit bull" because of a documented pedigree, or merely on the basis of physical appearance, recognizing that these dogs are individuals for whom we are responsible is an integral step toward a compassionate future for all dogs.
