“Hi! My names Auric and I’m a spicy chicken nugget with a side of sweet and sour sauce! I love playing and running around exploring, so I’ll need lots of space and toys to keep me busy! I’ll do just about anything for wet food, but no take backs! Otherwise, you’ll get a skippity-bap-bap from my toe beans! I’ll likely greet you with a soft hiss or two, especially if you surprise me, but I do love me some good pets though! Because of my long hair, I do get a bit staticy if you pet me too long, and so I might ask you to stop if it gets to be too much.
My perfect family? One where I can be my wacky, quirky self! I’d love a home that’s got older kiddos that understand my boundaries if I might get overstimulated. I love looking out windows and watching the birds and squirrels (and maybe the neighbors too 😉). And I especially want a home where I can get wet food cuz I looove it so much!

The next step is to pick out a cat or dog! Check out our adoptable cats and adoptable dogs for pictures and short descriptions or come into the shelter at our Taft Hill campus. We also have adoptable cats at many offsite locations.
Note: not all available cats and dogs reside at our campuses. Some are at off-site adoption partners or in foster homes. If you are interested in a particular cat or dog, please call our shelter at (970) 484-8516 to find out about their current status and location.
We do not ship animals. You are required to come and meet your new addition prior to adoption so that we can ensure a good match.
Please note that we will make a copy of the adopters’ State ID card, Driver’s License or passport at the time of adoption.
