My name is Canela!

We are rehoming sweet Canela, who we recently saved from euthanasia at the Humane Society. We think she is a Shepherd/Basenji mix, and she loves to play and cuddle! She knows how to fetch and is learning to catch a Frisbee. She enjoys all toys, and she especially loves chewing.
We want to keep her as she is so loving, but we knew this would just be a short-term stay to save her life, and are just are not home enough. She does struggle with separation anxiety that can cause her to tear things up or chew on doors to escape, but she has been improving alone in her room during the work day and we're continuing to train her. She does pretty well in the crate, but would need one sturdier than a basic wire crate.
We are hoping someone is willing to take a chance on her. All she wants is a loving, full-time family where she can be the only dog. She has never been aggressive towards humans, and will let you take toys right out of her mouth. Help us give her the forever home she deserves!
