My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

My name is Sassy! I am one of 7 in my adorable teeny tiny puppy litter. We are chiweenies which is a mix between Dachshund and Chihuahua. I am just a baby at 12 weeks old. I am a little under 6 lbs. I am the smallest of my crew! I will be very very small full grown; 10ish lbs we predict. I am an absolute love. I like to be held and pet but I am also wiggly, playful and when I get excited my whole little body goes sideways. I am really not that Sassy at all. I am a little more cautious than my sister Buffy, whom I live with but don't worry, I will be in your lap in no time. I really love people. I am a master napper! I sleep through the night in my crate and I am learning to use the pads to go potty. It's WAY too cold for me to be outside in this weather! I love to play with toys and I like to play with my sister. The bigger dogs make me a bit nervous when they are rambunctious but I know where to go to stay safe. I am an *adorable* little nugget. We will contact you for a phone call within 72 hours after submission of your application. Please check your spam for our emails!

Additional adoption info

Please email info@asecondchanceforziva.com for an adoption application if interested in adopting or fostering a dog from ASCZ and please email us after you have submitted an application. After all checks on the application have been completed, the potential adopter will speak with the rescue to discuss what they are looking for and if a dog will be a great fit in their home. Once an application is submitted, the adopter will hear from the rescue within 72 hours.

The fee for puppies under 6 months is $525 and the fee for dogs 6 months and older is $425. This fee contributes to (but not limited to) all core vaccinations for each puppy/dog, microchip, spay/neuter, HW testing and prevention and flea/tick prevention while under the rescue's care and transportation.

A Second Chance for Ziva, Inc. (ASCZ) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to saving the lives of dogs regardless of breed, size or age. ASCZ rescues, cares for and adopts out homeless dogs into loving and responsible homes. The rescue does not have a shelter but rather we rely on devoted fosters that open their homes and provide love and comfort to our dogs.
