Dante’s Big Little Story 🐾
Dante didn’t know what the world was supposed to feel like when he was only five months old and already carrying the weight of a rough beginning. At just 25 pounds, he and his siblings had been tossed from a truck, confused, frightened, and far too young to understand why. The shelter was loud and overwhelming, and Dante curled into himself, trying to disappear.
But then Castoff Pet Rescue stepped in.
They saw past the fear. They saw a puppy who just needed someone to believe in him. When Dante arrived, he was timid, quiet eyes, careful steps, unsure of every new sound. Yet even then, there was a spark in him, a softness waiting for permission to shine.
And shine he did.
With gentle hands, patient voices, and a safe place to land, Dante began to unfold. He learned the doggy door almost instantly, trotting in and out like he’d been doing it his whole life. Potty training is still a work in progress, but he’s trying hard, and every day he gets a little closer.
During the day, he naps peacefully in his crate, dreaming puppy dreams. At night, though, he’d much rather be close to someone, close enough to hear a heartbeat, close enough to know he’s not alone anymore.
Dante has become a sweet, affectionate, irresistibly cute puppy who loves exploring, learning, and being part of a family. His past may have started in fear, but his future is wide open, full of hope and tail wags.
Now he’s waiting for the chapter he’s been dreaming of:
a forever home where he can finally belong.
