Twyla is a two year old Terrier / Black Mouth Cur mix who came into the care of HSSM as a stray in October 2025. She was a shy timid little girl when she first came in and was a tad skinny but since then she has become our little chunky monkey. She has become a staff favorite with everyone here.
She is incredibly dog friendly and regularly participates in doggy playgroups with her canine friends. Twyla enjoys being around other dogs and would do well in a home looking to add a social, easygoing companion to their pack.
She walks well on a leash, knows how to sit, and has been working with one of our dedicated staff members to learn additional tricks and skills. Twyla is heartworm negative and will be spayed upon adoption.
We think Twyla would thrive in just about any home that is looking for a friendly, social butterfly to join their family.
Twyla's $300 adoption fee includes spay/neuter, up to date vaccines, microchip AND transport fee to a location near you. We currently have transportation to CT, MD, NJ, NY, PA, VA, GA, and TN. Please email transport@hssm.org for more information on transports!
