My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Mr. Big earned his name by being the largest of his litter—and he’s lived up to it ever since, with a big personality and an even bigger heart. He is a social, affectionate cat who genuinely enjoys cuddling and being part of daily life.

Big loves exploring all the nooks and crannies of the house and likes to keep tabs on what’s going on around him. He has a brother he absolutely adores, so if you’re considering a bonded pair, they would be thrilled to stay together. He does best without dominant female cats.

Earlier in life, Big had an oral issue that required his teeth to be removed. He has fully recovered, has no ongoing issues, and happily enjoys both wet and dry food.

Big is:

*Neutered

*Up to date on vaccines

*FeLV/FIV negative

*Microchipped

*2 years old

*A healthy weight

*Not on any medications

*Toothless—and totally unbothered by it (yes, he eats dry food just fine!)

*We would love to see this wonderful boy settled into a calm, loving home where he can feel secure, cherished, and truly part of the family.

Because we bring pets to their new homes and value ongoing connection, adopters should be located in or near Santa Fe, Albuquerque, Rio Rancho, Los Alamos, or White Rock, New Mexico.

Adoption process:

Online application → photos/videos → phone conversation → we bring the pet to your home.

(And yes—we love updates!)

More about this rescue

We work with the animals at three local Indian tribes (pueblos). We have a spay/neuter called, Door2Door, we assist animals with medical emergencies, prevention, education. We rehab and re-home the unwanted, abandoned, and neglected. At the time of adoption, we bring the pet to your home to make sure all family members including all fur babies get along and all are onboard and committed to the pet. We have an adoption process and we like to stay in touch with the families for the life of the pet.
