My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

🐾 Meet Figaro - The Handsome Grey Gentleman 🐾
Looking for a little sweetness in your life?
Meet Figaro, a 1‑year‑old grey heart‑melter with a soft personality and an even softer coat.
Figaro is the kind of feline who wins you over with gentle blinks, quiet charm, and the sweetest little purrs. He loves cozy spots, friendly humans, and the peace of knowing he's safe. Once he feels comfortable, he leans right into affection and happily becomes your shadow... or your couch buddy... or your nap partner - he's flexible like that.
After a rocky start, Figaro is ready for the one thing he's been missing:
✨ a loving home where he can feel secure, adored, and never have to worry again ✨
If you're searching for a kind, easygoing companion who brings calm, comfort, and cuteness wherever he goes, Figaro may be the perfect match.
Come meet this gorgeous grey sweetheart - he's ready to fall in love with you. 💛🐾

The Chilliwack Branch is an Animal Protection Centre for pets who have been rescued from abusive or neglectful homes. The Centre is open to the public by appointment only due to the security issues associated with housing animals awaiting the outcome of legal proceedings. We will accept surrendered animals by appointment only, and we are open for adoptions on special occasions.

Our Charter:

The BC SPCA Charter is the foundation that guides the work we do:

Whereas:

The world is inhabited by many species sharing a common ecosystem of air, earth, and water. We recognize and value our interconnectedness with all animals.

Therefore:

The BC Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals is dedicated to protecting and enhancing the quality of life for the animals of the world we share.

We pledge our energies to inspire and mobilize society to create a world in which all animals, who depend on humans for their well-being, experience, as a minimum, five essential freedoms:

1. Freedom from hunger and thirst

2. Freedom from pain, injury, and disease

3. Freedom from distress

4. Freedom from discomfort

5. Freedom to express behaviours that promote well-being.
