My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet this bubbly little sweetheart! At just 10 months old, she’s still a puppy at heart; fun, playful, and full of joy. She’s also been working really hard over the past month and a half with our behavior team, making great progress and showing how eager she is to learn and grow. This girl is affectionate and snuggly, happiest when she’s right by your feet or curled up nearby. She’d thrive with someone who’s home more often, especially in the beginning, to help her settle in and feel secure. When given space, she does well relaxing on her own and will often curl up in a cozy corner for a nap. She’s looking for an adult-only home with a structured, calm environment where her continued training can shineWe have observed resource guarding with her and although she is much better now we are looking for a unique placement for her. To set everyone up for success, her adoption includes a required private in-home consult to help her new family understand her communication and continue positive behavior work.If you’re ready for a young, loving pup who will reward your patience with loyalty, cuddles, and playful energy, she just might be your perfect match.A private consult will be required with her adoption.

Size: Medium - 21.2kg
Children: Adult only home please

Go meet their pets

The City of Calgary is once again adopting cats and dogs at the Animal Services Centre in addition to transferring adoptable pets to our partner agencies, to help animals find their furever homes faster.

Shelters and rescue agencies are currently at capacity with the overpopulation of homeless animals. The City reinstated its adoption program to assist with this crisis by making adoptable animals available by appointment. Once a pet is deemed adoptable, they are available either at the Animal Services Centre or one of our partner agencies: the Calgary Humane Society, or the Alberta Animal Rescue Crew Society (AARCS).

Adoptions are available by appointment only by calling 311 or by visiting Animal Services. Appointment are available from 10:00am thru 5:30pm (this may change and is subject to availability) Monday through Saturday. Adoption cost is $169 + GST for cats and $225 + GST for dogs. Adoption fees include medical and dental care, vaccinations, microchip, City of Calgary licence, and spaying/neutering.

Anyone interested in adopting a pet is encouraged to check out the adoptable animals on Calgary.ca/pets and at the links below.

Hidden gems
We’re rolling out the red carpet for some very special stars—our Hidden Gems! These are the wonderful cats and dogs who’ve been with us for a little longer than most and while they’ve been patiently waiting, we think it’s time they got their moment to shine.

To help these lovable animals find their forever homes, we’re offering them at a special adoption price: $100 + GST

No matter what you are looking for, one of these hidden gems may be your new best friend. Keep an eye out for “hidden gem” on their profile below.
