Boo is a ~10-year-old dachshund with a big personality and an even bigger heart for his person. He was adopted from a dachshund rescue at age 2 and has been deeply loved and well cared for ever since.
Boo is fiercely loyal and protective, especially of the person he bonds with most. He loves going on walks, happily investigates anything edible (seriously—he’ll eat *anything* in sight), and his favorite place in the world is curled up under the covers with you. He’s mostly house-trained, though he does have occasional accidents.
Like many dachshunds, Boo can be high-strung and vocal—he will bark and likes to let you know what’s going on. He thrives in a calm, predictable environment and would do best as the center of attention. Due to jealousy around attention, he is not a good fit for homes with young children.
This is a difficult rehoming decision after the death of a spouse in Dec. The hope is to find him a quiet, adult home with someone who understands the dachshund temperament.
