We bought Missy as a 8 week old puppy and grew up around the kids, but she was always a little timid.
I have four children and she has never done well around them.
She always would growl at them, but nothing more.
However, a couple of weeks ago, she did bite one of my daughters after she sat down on the couch beside her to pet her. This is the only time that she has bitten one of the kids.
Missy is a sweet dog to adults and is a big lover. Since all my children are still young, I don't want to risk them or their friends that come over to get bitten.
The kids all love her and hate to see her go, but it is a reality that we have to face.
The kids want to give her a good home versus a trip to the vet, but I would like to get her away from my children as soon as possible.
I think that she would do great in a home without children.
