My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet River: A Gentle Soul Finding Her Way

River is a resilient girl who arrived at the shelter in need of immediate care and had to have a wound stitched up. Though her past remains a mystery, her quiet strength and cooperative nature are already shining through as she heals.

Personality & Demeanor
Extremely Shy: River is currently very timid and finds the world a bit overwhelming. She is looking for a patient soul who can provide the safety she needs to come out of her shell.

Gentle & Compliant: Despite her fears, River is an incredible listener. She is remarkably cooperative and will go where you lead her, showing a deep-seated desire to trust and follow a kind hand.

Soulful Presence: With her soft, expressive eyes and calm energy, she has a way of connecting with people without saying a word.

River’s Ideal Home
River is searching for a sanctuary where she can focus on her recovery—both physical and emotional. Her perfect match would be:

A Quiet Environment: A low-energy household would be ideal to help her feel secure and reduce her anxiety.

A Patient Leader: She needs someone who will lead her with a soft touch, continuing the gentle guidance she has already responded so well to.

Time and Understanding: A family that understands her shyness isn't a lack of personality, but a request for time to feel safe.

"River may be shy, but her willingness to follow your lead shows a heart that is ready to be loved."

If you have a quiet corner in your home and a lot of room in your heart, River is ready to let you lead her home.
