This tiny guy is soft, fluffy, and silky to the touch, with the sweetest eyes and a heart that’s just a little bigger than his body. He’s gentle, affectionate, and deeply people-oriented. Kids, adults, men, women—Ricardo doesn’t discriminate. If you call him, he’ll come bounding toward you with joy.

🐕 Great with other dogs – would love a small, confident canine friend to help him feel secure
🚶 Enjoys walks and exploring the world with you
🧠 Eager to please & food motivated
🤍 Very sensitive to correction – responds best to gentle, positive guidance
A few things he’s working on:
🚽 Potty training – making progress, but not quite perfect yet (He was just neutered a few days ago, so this will improve soon after)
🦴 Learning about chew bones (still not very into toys)
🏠 Doesn’t like being alone – he thrives with companionship
Ricardo is a little insecure in new situations, but his confidence grows quickly when he has another dog to follow and a human who offers reassurance. With love, routine, and patience, he blossoms into the happiest little shadow.

We are a non-breed specific dog rescue group, although we do tend to take in mostly large and extra-large breeds, and especially those in the hunting / sporting groups.
Love for Paws exists to protect and advocate for dogs in our community through responsible adoption, the donation of supplies and veterinary care to those in need, by assisting in the effort to limit the overpopulation of these animals and by promoting kindness and healthy opportunity for life.
