Look at these tiny babies! Alvin and Simon are ready to find their forever homes. They weigh only 3 pounds, so most cats and other dogs are bigger than they are. That doesn`t stop them from keeping up with you! However, they will be underfoot and like to walk between your legs, so you`ll need to walk gingerly around them. Tiny guys like this can get hurt easily and will need to be watched.

More about this shelter

Lakeland Animal Shelter is centrally located three miles south of Elkhorn, WI. on highway 67, and it is the only animal shelter in Walworth County. Its doors are open to the public six days a week except on legal holidays. The shelter is staffed by dedicated and trained employees. Volunteers also play a crucial role in meeting many of the shelter's special care needs.


Provide temporary care for stray, abandoned and unwanted animals.
Own and operate a rescue vehicle to pick up stray pets from municipal holding areas and private citizens.
Respond to injured animal emergencies 24 hours a day.
Employ a humane Officer to investigate cruelty and abuse complaints.
Maintain records on lost and found pets
Have available humane live traps for animals requiring capture.
Seek good homes for pet adoptions.
Provide a resource library.
