Chloe here! I am a beautiful three-year-old chocolate retriever mix that was recently rescued by Animal Control! Whew! What a relief! I was out in the county roaming around near some houses, a transportation center, and a busy four-lane road! Boy was I glad to be rescued! I was never claimed by my family and I am now ready for adoption. I have all of my vaccinations, I am heartworm negative, I have a microchip, and I have been spayed. When they were giving me my behavior test the employee said I was “friendly” and I was a very “good girl!” Well I think that says it all, don’t you?

The placement of our adoptable animals into loving, caring homes and thereby enhancing the bond between animals and people is the primary goal of the Montgomery Humane Society Adoption Program. We focus on education so that every pet owner benefits from their contact with the shelter, whether or not they adopt an animal from us. Matching the needs of the animal and the potential owner, as well as educating potential owners about responsible pet ownership, helps to ensure successful pet placements of shelter animals.
