My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

✨ Meet Charlie & Marley — a bonded pair of gentle hearts ✨

Charlie and Marley are 10-year-old ragamuffin siblings with the softest souls and a lifetime of love to share. Deeply bonded and happiest together, these two are looking for a home where they can remain side by side — just as they’ve always been. 🐾🤍

💙 Charlie is the ultimate lovebug. Curious, gentle, and endlessly affectionate, he adores exploring sunny spots, fresh air, and cozy windowsills. A true lap cat, Charlie settles in like a perfect little loaf and stays put, kneading away while purring at full volume. He wears his heart on his sleeve and loves being close to his people — the kind of cat who makes every quiet moment better.

💖 Marley is a soft, sweet girl with a thoughtful, gentle presence. She may take a little time to warm up, but once she does, she happily joins in for cuddles — climbing into your lap when she’s ready, even if she prefers shorter snuggle sessions. Calm, kind, and quietly affectionate, Marley has a soul that feels instantly comforting.

Together, Charlie and Marley are peaceful companions who thrive in a calm, low-stress environment. They love kneading on fuzzy blankets, chatting in the most endearing way, and perfecting the art of lounging and napping. Toss a crumpled piece of paper across the room and you’ll see their playful side shine — instant joy, guaranteed. 🧻✨

They’ve done wonderfully with children, including a toddler (they appreciate having a little space at first), and they’ve grown up around large dogs — especially golden retrievers — so they’re very comfortable sharing their home and may even think they’re part dog themselves. 🐶💛

As ragamuffins with beautiful, plush coats, Charlie and Marley do require regular grooming. They’re accustomed to brushing and handling, and with consistent care, grooming time easily becomes part of their cozy routine. A home comfortable with regular brushing — and the occasional professional groom — would be ideal.

Marley was previously on a special diet to support urinary health, which has been successful. While she hasn’t had recent issues, a home mindful of urinary wellness and open to maintaining a supportive diet if needed would help ensure her continued comfort.

Both cats are AKC certified.

Charlie and Marley are ready for a loving, relaxed home where they can spend their golden years doing what they do best: cuddling, lounging, and being adored — together. Their rehoming comes with immense love and care, and the hope that their next family will cherish their gentle hearts as deeply as they deserve. 🤍🐾

More about this shelter

Homeward Bound Cat Adoptions is a nonprofit organization dedicated to cats and people in our community. We provide counseling, information, and resources to empower people to support their cats and others in the community. If cats cannot stay with their families or neighborhoods, we prioritize our intake on cats most at risk - cats in need of rehoming; kittens who need specialized care; and cats who have been abandoned, are sick or injured, or are not thriving in the community. We are committed to ensuring the highest level of attention and care for cats in our adoption program and provide a modern, free-roaming adoption center to minimize stress, serve the individual needs of each cat, and set up both cats and adopters for success.
